In this case we are having force and acceleration.


Do you know Newton's second Law?

If no, then it states that the rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to force acting on it. And using this law we derive the equation : F = ma where F is force, m is mass and a is acceleration.

So back to the question; F = 320 N and a = 1.6 ms⁻²

So just place the values, 320 = m * 1.6

m = 320*10/16 = 200 kg


Here we are using kg because the other units are in SI units so we should use kg.

Remember the units they can make you whole answer wrong and also mind the powers of 10. : )
