According to the given problem,

Quantity of nitrate = 75%

Quantity of sulphur = 10%

Quantity of charcol = (100 - 75 - 10)%

= (100 - 85)%

= 15%

Amount of charcol = 15% of 20kg of gunpowder

= 15% × 20kg

= (15/100) × 20kg

= (300/100) kg

= 3kg

= 3000g

∴ Amount of charcol in 20kg of gunpowder is 3000g.
