Let the given polynomial be p(x)=2x²+x +k
according to factor theorum, If (x-3) is a factor of p(x), Then p(3)=0
p(3)=2(3)²+(3)+k=0
2(3)²+3+k=0
18+3+k=0
21+k=0
k=-21
Therefor K will be equal to -21
