According to problem

Y=4x (equation 1)

Y+5=3 ( X+5) (equation 2)

put (1 )in (2 ) ,we get

4x + 5 = 3x + 15

4x - 3x = 15 - 5

x = 10

Y = 40

daughter's present age will be 10 years

mother's present age will be = 40 years
