Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Area of the quadrilateral
  • Length of diagonal
  • Length of perpendicular drawn on it

To Find:

  • Length of the other diagonal drawn on it.

Solution:

Formula Used-

1/2(Diagonal)×Sum of perpendicular drawn on it

Let the Length of the other diagonal drawn on it be xm

ACQ

1/2(Diagonal)×Sum of perpendicular drawn on it=200

1/2×20(12+x)=200

10(12+x)=200

120+10x=200

10x=200-120

10x=80

x=8cm ANS

Question -

The area of a quadrilateral is 200 cm². The length of the diagonal is 20 cm. The length of one perpendicular to it's diagonal is 12 cm . Find the length of the other perpendicular to the diagonal .

Solution -

Let us assume that the length of the other perpendicular to the diagonal is x cm .

Area of the quadrilateral becomes :

> ½ × Diagonal × [ Perpendicular 1 + Perpendicular 2] = 200

> ½ × 20( 12 + x) = 200

> 12+x = 20

> x = 8 cm .

Answer -

The length of the perpendicular to the other diagonal is 8 cm .
