$\rm \longmapsto3x = 0 + 18$

$\rm \longmapsto3x = 18$

$\rm \longmapsto \: x = \cancel\dfrac{18}{3}$

In left hand side the sign of 18 is negative but whenever we take it to right side it's symbol become positive. If in left hand side the symbol of 18 was positive then in the right hand side it would become negative.

$\rm \longmapsto4x = 12$
