The specialised teeth—incisors, canines, premolars, and molars—are found in the same order in every mammal. In many mammals the infants have a set of teeth that fall out and are replaced by adult teeth. These are called deciduous teeth, primary teeth, baby teeth or milk teeth.

  • HETERODONT - arrangement of teeth in socket
  • There are mainly 4 types of teeth and the arrangement is as follows
  • Incisors ;canine ;premolars ; molars
  • DIASTEMA - canines are absent
