Change in velocity in x direction = vf cos53° - vi cos 37°

= 100x3/5 - 50 x 4/5

∆vx = 20 m/s

Change in velocity in y direction = vf sin53° - vi sin 37°

= 100x4/5 - 50 x 3/5

∆vy = 50 m/s

accln in x direction = ax = 20/5 = 4 m/s2

accln in y direction ay = 10 m/s2

∴ a = 4i + 10j
