Subtracting (ii) from (i)

∠QOS - ∠POS = 90° + ∠ROS - (90° - ∠ROS)

⇒ ∠QOS - ∠POS = 90° + ∠ROS - 90° + ∠ROS

⇒ ∠QOS - ∠POS = 2∠ROS

⇒ ∠ROS = 1/2(∠QOS – ∠POS)
