(PLS HELP ASAP I HAVE A TEST RN YHIS IS IMPORTANT) the present ages of Jessica and Emma are in the ratio of 5:4 respectively. However in three years, the ratio of their ages will become 11:9 respectively. How old are they now?

Let us assume present age of Sameer = x

present age of Anand = y

So,

4x−5y=0----------eq1 multiply it by 9

9x+27=11y+33

9x−11y=6-----------eq2 --multiply it by 4

Subtracting eq 1 from eq2

We get,

y=24 years
