why should we spend money on protecting the tigers when so many humans are dying out of hunger ???....

Because tigers can extinct which is too much loss for ecosystem...
It can disturb whole ecosystem which may lead to extinction of other animals...
Food chain system will be destroyed so no more life on earth...

okay so basically the human population in the current state is forming a disaster to the world. We humans are killing most of the animals and cutting down trees to satisfy our needs. Whereas in the case of tigers they are at the verge of extinction so ya..
