Answer:

Hey here u follow some steps :

  • First thing u have to find the constant speed of train , use formula: speed = Distance/ Time
  • As u know constant speed means speed will not change throughout.
  • So, speed = 165 / 3 = 55 km / hr.
  • As, we got speed = 55 km / hr.

(a) According to question, it asks to find what time taken to cover the distance 440 km.

Let time be taken as 'T'

Now, T = distance/ speed = 440 / 55 = 8 hrs.

(b) According to question, it asks to find what distance traveled by train in 7 hrs.

Let distance be taken as 'S'

Now, S = time × speed = 7 × 55 = 385 km.

Hope it helps u , for more contact me

thanks☆☆☆☆☆

 \large{\boxed{\boxed{\sf Let's  \: Understand  \: Question  \: F1^{st}}}}

Here, we have said that a train travels in constant speed and in 3hrs it covers 165km and have to find:

⌬ Time taken to cover 440km

⌬ Distance it can cover in 7hrs

 \large{\boxed{\boxed{\sf How  \: To  \: Do \:  It?}}}

Here, f1st we will calculate the distance covered by train in 1hr(speed of train). The for the f1st part we will simply apply formula of time and Substituting values in it we will got our f1st answer. Now, for 2nd we apply formula of distance and substituting values in it we will got our 2nd answer.

Let's Do It

 \huge{\underline{\boxed{\sf AnSwer}}}

____________________________

Given:

☃ A train travels 165km in 3hrs

Find:

☣ Time taken to cover 440km

☣ Distance Travelled by train in 7hrs

Solution:

Here,

☞Distance travelled in 3hrs = 165km [Given]

☞Distance travelled in 1hr = \sf\dfrac{165}{3} = 55km

Hence, Speed of train is 55km/hr

(a)

Here, using

\underline{\boxed{\sf Time = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed}}}

 \sf where  \small{\begin{cases}  \sf Distance = 440km\\  \sf Speed = 55km/hr \end{cases}}

\red\bigstar Substituting these values:

\implies\sf Time = \dfrac{Distance}{Speed} \\

\implies\sf Time = \dfrac{440}{55} \\

\implies\sf Time =  8hr\\

\underline{\boxed{ \sf\therefore Time\:taken\:by\:train\: to\: cover\:440km\:is\:8hr}}

(b)

Now, using

\underline{\boxed{\sf  Distance =   Speed \times Time }}

 \sf where  \small{\begin{cases}  \sf Speed = 55km/hr\\ \sf Time = 7hr \end{cases}}

\pink\bigstar Substituting these values:

\dashrightarrow\sf  Distance =   Speed \times Time \\

\dashrightarrow\sf  Distance =   55\times7 \\

\dashrightarrow\sf  Distance = 385km\\

\underline{\boxed{ \sf\therefore Distance \: travelled\:by\: train\:in\:8hrs\:is\:385km}}
