Let one number be "x"

Then other number = (4000 - x)

ATQ,

15% of x = 25% of (4000 - x)

  \bf  \implies \frac{15}{100} \times  \: x  =  \frac{ 25}{100}(4000 - x)

  \bf \implies 15x = 100000 - 25x

  \bf \implies15x + 25x = 100000

  \bf \implies40x = 100000

  \bf \implies \: x \:  =  \frac{100000}{40}

  \bf \implies \: x = 2500

Other number = 4000 - x

= 4000 - 2500

= 1500

Hence, The numbers are 2500 and 1500
