I will solve this by Substitution u can solve by elimination too

Step: Solve y=2x+1 for y:

y=2x+1

Step: Substitute 2x + 1 for y in y= −x+7:

y=−x+7

2x+1=−x+7

2x+1+x=−x+7+x(Add x to both sides)

3x+1=7

3x+1+−1=7+−1(Add -1 to both sides)

3x=6

x=6/3

x=2

Step: Substitute 2 for x in y =2x+1 :

y=2x+1

y=(2)(2)+1

y=5 (Simplify both sides of the equation)

Answer:

x=2 and y=5

Answer:

x=2 y=5

Step-by-step explanation:

We must find the solution which is where the two axis intersect both x and y and when we solve the equation we will see that the solution is that the boyh axis intersect at x being 2 and y being 5.
