at first, by using a ruler you have to make a line segment of 10cm.
then, in rough calculate the 1/4th part of the line segment, that is:
=>10cm÷4
=>2.5cm
therefore now you have to a mark of 2.5 cm in your compass and from point A cut an arc on AB and name it point O.
then from O cut an arc of 2.5 cm towards B and name it M.
from M cut an arc of 2.5 cm towards B and name it N.
there it is
line segment AB has been divided into 4 equal parts which are:
AO, OM, MN and NB each of 2.5 cm
