Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Area= Area of triangle ABC+Area of triangle CAD

As the figure is bisected by a diagonal, so both figures formed (by the diagonal) will be equal to each other

So we can say that,

Total area of figure= 2(Area of triangle ABC)

To find base AB,

Using pythagoras theorem,

(Hypotenuse)² = (Base)² + (Perpendicular)²

(2\sqrt{35\\})² = (AB)² + (4\sqrt{7}

140 = (AB)² + 112

(AB)² = 28

AB = \sqrt{28}   (we will take AB as root 28 only as its real value is a long decimal number)

Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height

                          = 1/2 x \sqrt{28\\} x 2\sqrt{35}

Area of full figure = 2(area of triangle)

                             = 2 x 1/2 x \sqrt{28} x 2\sqrt{35

                             = \sqrt{28} x 2\sqrt{35

We cannot multiply further, so area would be \sqrt{28\\} x 2\sqrt{35}  unit².

Hope it helps!!!
