This is done using the formula of Sum of Combination of n things

i.e.,

^{n}C_{0}+^{n}C_{1}+^{n}C_{2}+\: \cdots\cdots\: ^{n}C_{n}= 2^{n}

We know, ^{n}C_{0}=1

As per the question,

To find:

^{10}C_{1}+^{10}C_{2}+\: \cdots\cdots\: ^{10}C_{10}

Here, n = 10, but ^{10}C_{0} was excluded in addition. Hence we subtract it from actual result

^{10}C_{1}+^{10}C_{2}+\: \cdots\cdots\: ^{10}C_{10} = 2^{10}- 1

= 1024- 1

= 1023
