C₁₂ and C₁₃ are isotopes of carbon.

atomic no. of both the isotopes will be same and is 6. whereas the mass no. of C₁₂ is 12 amu and the mass no. of C₁₃  is 13 amu.

Carbon-12 no. of protons= no. of electrons is 6 and no. of neutrons=7

carbon 13  no. of protons= no. of electrons is 6 and no. of neutrons=6
