▪The answer is 9
AB = 5 cm
BC = 8 cm
So,
AB + BC > AC (here AB + BC =13)
AB ~ BC < AC (here AB ~ BC = 3)
3 < AC < 13
No. of values (4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) = 9

AB=8cm
BC=5cm
inΔ ABC
AB+BC > AC
5+8>AC
AC<13 cm........(1)
BC+AC>AB
5+AC>8
AC>3..........(2)
from (1)&(2) we can conclude that
3<AC<13
possible values for AC are 4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12
number of possible values is 9.
option (2)9 is correct
