because there are no battery connected in the water.......... . that is why the bulb can not glow

battery is connected by the it's symbol but if the in place of switch anything which is a conductor of electricity then the bulb will glow but here the bulb will not glow because in place of switch there is a liquid and liquid is the poor conductor of electricity
