Answer:

Angle between E and B is 90° as vertically opposite angles are equal.

So 3y becomes 180° - 30° - 90°.

3y = 60°

y = 20°.

★Given:-

⇢ ∠AOF= 90°

⇢ ∠COE=30°

⇢ ∠DOB=3y

______________________________

★To find:-

Value of y

_______________________________

We know that vertically opposite angles are equal.

So, ∠COE will be equal to ∠FOD.

★Solution:-

✦First Method:-

∠AOF+∠FOD+∠DOB = 180° (Supplementary angles)

So,

➻ 90°+30°+3y=180°

➻ 3y=180-(90+30)

➻ 3y = 180- 120

➻ 3y = 60

➻ y = \frac{60}{3}

3

60

➻ y = 20°

∴ y is 20°

✦Second method:-

We know that ∠FOB=90° because ∠AOF which is it's supplementary angle is 90°

So, ∠FOD and ∠DOB are complimentary angles

Then, ∠FOD + ∠DOB = 90°

Solving it further,

➻ 30 + 3y = 90

➻ 3y = 90 - 30

➻ 3y = 60
