Answer along with Step-by-step explanation:

It's simple ! Wear your seatbelt as we are gonna crack these 2 problems together !!

Q1] The radius of a circle is 3.5 cm. Find its circumference and area.

Ans- There are 2 simple formulas we need to solve this.

Circumference = 2 x Pi x r

Area = Pi x r^2

So C= 2 x 22/7 x 3.5 = 2 x 22/2 = 22cm

A = 22/7 x 3.5 x 3.5 = 11 x 3.5 = 38.5 cm^2

Q2] A wire of length 176cm is first bent into a square and then into a circle. Which one will have more area?

Ans- In circle, circumference = 2 x Pi x r = 176

       => r = 176 x 7 / 2 x 22

       => r = 28cm

Now area of circle = Pi x r^2

= 22/7 x 28 x 28

= 2464 cm^2

In square, perimeter = 176 cm

So side = 176/4 = 44cm

Area of square = side x side = 44 x 44 = 1936 cm^2

Clearly, 2464 > 1936

So area of circle will be more.

Well, do you want to know something more?

Circle is the shape which has maximum area among all shapes given that the perimeter is equal. SO if you want to answer it quickly, close your eyes as you do in the roller coaster and tick circle! That's one of the reasons why raindrops are circular in nature.

If you want to solve by proof, use the method I have given.

So that's the end of our journey and we stop at the station and you can remove ur seatbelts!

HOPE IT HELPS :)
