Solution :-
Given that :-
A + B = 8 -----------(1)
=> A = 8 - B -------(2)
A + C = 13 ---------(3)
On Substituting the value of A from (2) in (3) then
=> 8 - B + C = 13
=> -B + C = 13 - 8
=> - B + C = 5
=> C - B = 5
=> B = C - 5---------(4)
B + D = 8 -----------(5)
On Substituting the value of B from (4) in (5) then
=> C - 5 + D = 8
=> C + D = 8+5
=> C + D = 13 --------(6)
C - D = 6 --------------(7)
On adding (6) &(7)
C + D = 13
C - D = 6

=> 2C = 19
=> C = 19/2
=> C = 9.5
On Substituting the value of C in (4)
B = C - 5
=> B = 9.5-5

On Substituting the value of B in (1)
=> A + 4.5 = 8
=>A = 8 - 4.5
=> A = 3.5
