given here:

==>x=2-√3

find here

x^2 + 1/x^2=?

x^2- 1/x^2=?

now.

if

x=2-√3

1/x= 1/(2-√3)

= (2+√3)/(2-√3)(2+√3)

= (2+√3)/4-3

= 2+√3

then,

1) x^2 +1/x^2 =( 2-√3)^2+(2+√3)^2

=4+3-4√3+4+3+4√3

=14.

2). x^2- 1/x^2=( 2-√3)^2-( 2+√3)^2

=4+3-4√3-4-3-4√3

= -8√3.
