area of square ABCD =1/2 into product of diagonals(as square is also rhombis)

now 1/2×5root2×5root2

=25cm²

now area of square(ABCD) is equal to area (parallelogram DEFC) because they are between same base and same parallels.

hencearea (DEFC)=25cm²
