Given that the area of a piece of square tile is 49 cm2
, find its perimeter.

Given :-

  • Area of Square = 49 cm²

Find :-

  • Perimeter of Square

Explanation

Important Formula

Area of Square = (Side)²

Perimeter of Square = 4 * (Side)²

So,

Area of Square = (Side)²

49 = (Side)²

Side = ±√7

But, we know, length be always positive .

Side = 7 cm

Now, Calculate Perimeter of Square

Perimeter of Square = 4 * Side

Perimeter of Square = 4 * 7

Perimeter of Square = 28 cm

Hence

  • Perimeter of Square be = 28 cm
