It has been like this
3+7=10
10-4=6
6+(7*2)=20
20-(7+4)=9
9+(7*3)=30
30-(7+7+4)=12
12+(7*4)=40
So answer is 12 40

look the pattern, terms in the odd position are multiple of 3 ( 3,6,9 so the next is 12)
terms in even position are multiples of ten (10,20,30 so the next is 40)
terms in even position are multiples of ten (10,20,30 so the next is 40)
