Answer:

ΔABC is a right angled triangle

so by Pythagoras theorem

AC²+CB²=AB²

24²+cb²=26²

576 + CB² = 676

CB*CB =676-576

CB*CB = 100

CB*CB = 10*10

CB=10cm

ΔCBE is also a right angle triangle

again by Pythagoras theorem

CE²+EB²=CB²

CE²+8²=10²

CE²+64=100

CE²=100-64

CE*CE=36

CE*CE=6*6

CE=6cm

. : CE in tge above figure is 6cm
