Answer:

The curved part of new shape iis1/4th of circles perimeter, and straight line is radius.

Radius of original circle=16 cm

So, perimeter=2πr=2π×16=32π

So, perimeter of curved part of new shape = 1/4×32π=8π

Now perimeter of new shape =4×perimeter of curved part+2×radius

=4×8π+2×16=32π+32

So the perimeter changes.

The perimeter is increased by 32cm
