Given:-

  • Length of rectangle = 12 cm
  • width of rectangle = 11 cm
  • Radius of circle = 2 cm

Find :-

  • Area of shaded regions .

⠀|| ☆.Explanation.☆ ||

First , calculate area of rectangle

Area of rectangle = ( Length × Width )

Area of rectangle = 12 × 11

➥ Area of rectangle = 132 cm²

Now, calculate area of circle

Area of circle = π.r²

where,

  • r = Radius

➥ Area of circle = 3.14 × 2²

➥ Area of circle = 3.14 × 4

➥ Area of circle = 12.56 cm²

For shaded region,

If we subtract area of circle from area of rectangle , then we can find area shaded regions .

So,

Area of shaded region = Area of rectangle - Area of circle

➥ Area of shaded region = 132 - 12.56

➥ Area of shaded region = 119.44 cm²

Thus:-

  • Area of shaded regions = 119.44 cm²
