Answer:

Given : Lines AB and XY intersect at O and angle AOX and angle AOY have ratio 11 : 9.

To Find : angle BOX , angle BOY.

Solution : XY is a line.

therefore,

angle AOX + angle AOY = 180° ( L.P.)

11x + 9x = 180°

( by letting the ratio of angles )

20x = 180°

x = 180° / 20

x = 9 °

Hence,

angle AOX = 11x = 11 × 9 = 99 °

angle AOY = 9x = 9 × 9 = 81 °

angle AOY = angle BOX = 81° ( V.O.A )

angle AOX = angle BOY = 99° ( V.O.A )

let angle AOX and angle AOY are in ratio be 11x and 9x respectively,

11x+ 9x=180. (straight line)

20x=180

x=90

11x=11×90=990

9x=9×90=810

now , angleBOX = 810. (vertically opposite angle )

and angle BOY=990. ( vertically opposite angle)
