Explanation:

IN FIRST HALF

time taken t1= s/(3*v)= s/3v

IN SECOND HALF

t2= s/3*2v= s/6v

IN THIRD HALF

t3=s/9v

total time = 11s/18v

average speed = s/t

= s/(11s/18v)

=18v/11

Answer:

c.18/11v

Explanation:

 t

otal distance covered by the boy is s+s+s = 3s

now total time taken by the boy is s/v + s/2v and s/3v.

now avg. speed is given by

= (total distance)/total time

= 3s/(s/v +s/2v+s/3v

= 3s/(s/v)*(1+1/2+1/3)... s will cancel each other.

so , avg v = 3V/(11/6) = (18v/11) answer.

option c.
