PLS HELP TOMORROW IS MY EXAM......... WHY ARE SWIMMERS PROVIDED WITH INFLATED RUBBER JACKETS?

swimmers provided with an inflated rubber tube/jacket because to provide buoyancy for the swimmer since air in the inflated rubber tube/jacket is less dense and also the overall density is less then the water density to provide more upthrust to float. IN other words, this is to provide buoyancy for the swimmer since air in the inflated rubber jacket is less dense, hence decreasing the average density of the swimmer.
