Answer is heavy rainfalls on account of north east monsoons that flow from indian land to indiam ocean While it travels from west bengal side it has to travel a part above bay of bengal where it sucks up moisture and when in comes in contact with land in western ghats of tamil nadu it gives up heavy showers.
