Step-by-step explanation:

(1+ tan@)^2 = 1 + tan^2@ +2 tan @ - (A + B)^2

(1-tan@)^2 = 1+ tan^2@ - 2tan@ - ( A-B)^2

According to the question we have to add these two

on adding we get

2+ 2tan^2@ ( notice that the 2 tan @ cancels out)

Taking two as the common factor we get

2(1 + tan^@)

But 1 + tan^2@ is equal to sec^2@ ( using the identity that relates tan@ and sec @)

Thus LHS = RHS
