Let the present age of Aunt and Jagriti be x and y .

According to first condition , we get

y + 5 = 2 / 3 (x + 5)

→ 3y + 15 = 2x + 10

→ 2x - 3y = 5......(1)

According to second condition , we get

y - 3 = 1/2 (x)

x - 2y = - 6.........(2)

Solving (1) and (2) simultaneously , we get

x = 28 and y = 17

Therefore,

The present age of Aunt is 28

and

The present age of Jagriti is 17

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of Aunt and Jagriti be x and y .

According to first condition , we get

y + 5 = 2 / 3 (x + 5)

→ 3y + 15 = 2x + 10

→ 2x - 3y = 5......(1)

According to second condition , we get

y - 3 = 1/2 (x)

x - 2y = - 6.........(2)

Solving (1) and (2) simultaneously , we get

x = 28 and y = 17

Therefore,

The present age of Aunt is 28

and

The present age of Jagriti is 17
