Black rxn is now known as golgi s stain as he performed an experiment using stains on densely packed nervous cells and after staining they become black or brown as named earlier . acc to him he told if all interconnections between cells are stained then little information can be obtained.

Golgi's staining is achieved by impregnating aldehyde fixed nervous tissue with potassium dichromate and silver nitrate. Cells thus stained are filled by microcrystallization of silver chromate.

Camillo Golgi was born on July 1843 in Contempt. He studied medicine at University of Pavia. He graduated in 1865. He spent much of his career studying the central nervous system.
