Diagonals of a rectangle are equal and they bisect each other

So, AC=BD

AC = OA + OC

But, AO = OC (Diagonals bisect each other )

Similarly,

BD = BO+OD

and BO=OD

Since AC=BD,

OA=OC=BO=OD

OA=2x+4 (given)

OD = 3x+1 (given)

and OA=OD

Therfore, 2x+4=3x+1

2x+4=3x+1;

4-1=3x-2x

3=x

value of x is 3

BO = OD = 3x+1

= 3×3+1

= 10

BD=BO+OD

BD = 10+10

So, BD=20
