∆H=∆U+∆ngRT

for combustion of C4H10(g), reaction will be

C4H10(g) + 13/2 O2(g) ------> 4 CO2(g) + 5 H2O(l)

so according to above equation

∆ng= 4-(13/2+1)

= 4-(15/2)

= (8-15)/2 => -7/2

hence,

∆H-∆U= ∆ngRT

H-U= -7/2RT
