emf=I×(r+R)

emf÷(r+R)=I

2/(1.2+0.8+3)=I

=2÷5

=0.4 Ampere


b)

Terminal voltage =
R×I=0.4×3.8=1.52 V

c)
effective resistance of the parallel combination= 3 ohm
current = 0.4 A
Voltage across the parallel combination = 3×0.4=1.2 V
as the potential difference btwn the parallel connection is the same as the potential difference btwn the 4.5 ohm resistor
voltage across 4.5 resistor = 1.2 V
