take 3 common it will give you 3(x²+4x+5)=0 as 3≠0 so x²+4x+5=0 now write it as (x²+4x+4)+1=0 which can be written as (x+2)²+1=0 or (x+2)²= –1 means there is no real value of x for which a perfect square is negative. it will have complex roots
