Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Tina's house is 1 9/10 km away from her school.

She walked some distance and took a bus for

1 1/2 km to reach the school.

To find:-

How far did she walk.

Solution:-

The distance between the school and Tina's house = 1 9/10 km= 19/10 km

Distance travelled by bus =1 1/2 km= 3/2 km

Distance travelled on foot =19/10-3/2

=>19/10-3/2

LCM of the denominators 10 and 2 =10

=>[(19×1)-(3×5)]/10

=>(19-15)/10

=>4/10

=>2/5 km

Answer:-

Tina walked 2/5 km

so,The distance covered by Tina on foot is 2/5 km
