first do the prime factorisation of √45 which will be √5*3*3 take out 3 common from it and you would be left with 3√5 ,then do the samething with √20. your answer would be√5×2×2, then take out 2 common you would be left with 6√5 then add .your answer would be (3-6+4)√5
