Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A car covers a distance of 76.5km in 1.8hours.

To find:

The average distance covered by it in 1 hour and in 30 minutes.

Solution:

Covered distance by a car in 1.8 hours = 76.5 km

Covered distance by the car in 1 hour

= 76.5/1.8

=>(765/10)/(18/10)

=>(765/10)×(10/18)

=>765/18 (cancelling 10)

=>(9×85)/(2×9)

=>85/2 (cancelling 9)

=>42.5 km

The car covers the distance in 1 hour is 42.5km

and

The car covers the distance in 30minutes (1/2hour)= 42.5/2=21.25km

The car covers the distance in 30minutes = 21.25km

we know that,

1km =1000m

=>21.25 km = 21.25×1000m=21250m

The distance covered by the car in 30minutes is 21250m
