a) Cars stop when we apply brakes because the coefficient of friction is very high between tyres of car and the rough road which constantly oppose the applied force and hence constantly decrease the acceleration of car untill it become 0.

b) The glass sheet is a smooth surface. The coefficient of friction between the surface of glass and chalk is very less. Therefore the friction that a piece of chalk faces on a glass sheet is much lesser than what it may face when used to write on a board. Hence, the writing is not clear in the case of a glass sheet when used as a writing surface.

c) friction force F=μN

N is normal reaction

N is directly proportional to weight of the body and it also depend on the inclination of the plane with horizontal.so friction force is also directly proportional to weight of the body.
