1/R = 1/2.4 + 1/2.4

⇒ 1/R = 2 × 1/2.4

⇒ 1/R = 1/1.2

⇒ R = 1.2

4 Ω and 1 Ω are in parallel .

1/R = 1/4 + 1/1

⇒ 1/R = ( 1 + 4 )/4

⇒ 1/R = 5/4

⇒ R = 4/5

⇒ R = 0.8

0.8 Ω and 1.2 Ω are in series.

R = 0.8 Ω + 1.2 Ω

= R = 2Ω
