d1 = s1x t1

speed1 = 30 kmh-¹ x 30/60 hours

= 15 km

d2 = s2xt2

speed2 = 40 kmh-¹ x 1 hour

= 40 km

Total distance = 55km - ANS a

Total time = 30/60 hours + 1 hour (t1+t2)

= 1.5 hours - ANS b

Average speed = total distance/total time

=55/1.5

= 36.666 kmh-¹

= 36.67 kmh-¹ - ANS c
