 Given \: simple \: equation : \\\frac{3}{8}(4a-5) - \frac{5}{12}(3a-4) = \frac{1}{6}

 LCM \: of \: 8, \:12 \: and \: 6 = 24

/* Multiply bothsides of equation by 24 , we get */

 \implies \frac{24\times 3}{8}(4a-5) - \frac{24\times 5}{12}(3a-4) = \frac{24\times 1}{6}

 \implies 9(4a-5) - 10(3a-4) = 4

 \implies 36a - 45 - 30a + 40 = 4

 \implies 6a - 5 = 4

 \implies 6a = 4 + 5

 \implies a = \frac{9}{6}

 \implies a = \frac{3}{2}

Therefore.,

 \red { Value \: of \: a } \green { = \frac{3}{2}}
