 {x}^{2}  +  \frac{3x}{2}  - 1 = 0

SPLITTING MIDDLE TERM

 {x}^{2}  + 2x -  \frac{x}{2}  - 1 = 0

x(x + 2) -  \frac{1}{2} (x + 2) = 0

(x -  \frac{1}{2} )(x + 2) = 0

x =  \frac{1}{2}  \:</strong><strong>,</strong><strong>  \: x =  - 2
