so..

x + 4.5 + 3.5 + 5.6 + 10.4 = 28

x + 24 = 28

x = 4

Dimensions of 4 sides

45 mm , 10cm 4mm , 5cm 6 mm ,  35 mm

To Find : Length of 5th side.

Solution:

1 cm = 10 mm

10cm 4mm = 10 * 10 + 4 = 104 mm

5 cm 6 mm = 5 * 10 + 6 = 56 mm

Perimeter = 28 cm = 28 * 10 = 280 mm

Assume that Length of 5th side. = x mm

45 + 104 + 56 + 35  + x = 280

=> 240 + x = 280

=> x = 280 - 240

=> x = 40  

Length of 5th side is 40 mm  = 4 cm
